Registration FAQs

Here are some common questions regarding the new registration process. If you don't see your topic listed below, please contact us.

Why do captains have to create an account before they can register a team?
Captains create a personal account with their email to allow us to tie your team directly to the captain which, in turn, will give them the ability to manage their team once it has been successfully registered.

How do captains make changes to their team's roster?
Instructions on how to login and make changes to the team roster will be included as part of the team registration confirmation email. If you are experiencing technical issues, please contact us.

My captain has prepaid for me, do I still need to register?
All individual players must complete the individual player waiver process in order to be eligible to play. The tournament and online registration will only apply to those who are 18 or older. We are working on potentially putting together a youth defense. If you require parent/guardian approval we will work with your team captain separately.

Why can't I pay by check this year?
We are really trying to minimize the amount of paper and other things that happen with the registration process. Really, online payment is your friend.

What if I don't have a PayPal account?
You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay for Lei-Out through PayPal. The PayPal website allows you to use a credit card in lieu of a PayPal account. Please contact us if you have any trouble with this process.

What is the registration deadline?
Unfortunately, we can't fit an unlimited number of teams on the beach! Registration closes when the maximum number of teams has been reached. Register early to ensure your spot! Last year, team registration was closed on December 14th, but may close earlier or later this year. Individual player registration will close at noon PST on Thursday, January 11th, 2018.

What is the refund policy?

Full refunds are available prior to October 1.

Do I need to be a USAU Member?

Nope. Lei-Out is not a USA Ultimate sanctioned event.

What else do I need to know about Lei-Out?

Lei-Out is a 5v5 tourney with a 3/2 or 2/3 gender split, offense chooses.

Lei-Out will follow BULA rules.

Lei-Out is FUN!
